Hello.
We know that Oksana has a lot of fans in different countries.

Hi everyone! I think I'll be a little bit lonely here, but I'll try to write something anyway  I totally loved G/P back in the day and couldn't keep myself from following the "drama" ever since. It was great to see them again and especially Oksana since no one has seen her skating for so long - I was really wondering if she still had "it", and thank god she does. From G/P dances I loved Libertango and the Feeling Begins and I absolutely hated Memorial. Actually, I hated watching them the whole 97-98 season, cause you could just feel a collapse was coming... (I thought doing a program called "Memorial Requiem" is kind of a bad omen anyway - like doing a death mass for yourself - and kind of symbolic of what was actually happening) Anyways, I don't plan to be talking to myself too much, I guess I'll just have to learn Russian:) (I kind of started it already, since I had to try to understand what they were saying in the show and I already recognize many words!) Thanks to whoever created this board - I think it's great that G/P were "discovered" (again) by many people as a result of the RTR show IMO they are generally a little bit underappreciated and forgotten (maybe not in Russia, but elsewhere for sure). Ok, that's it for now, maybe someone joins me in this forum now that the ice has been broken - or else I'll just join you in a few months or so when I'm able to write a sensible sentence in Russian. I agree with you about a collapse. But this sence made their latest programmes so passion, emotianal and unforgettable. GP knew or felt that it was their end that's why they created masterpieses and in my opinion no ice dance-pair can do the same.

This site was linked on the unofficial Russian "Dance on Ice" forum, that's how I found it.
I didn't literally watch the World Pros since I don't have US tv - I just saw the articles and of course the videos later.
I thought the whole thing was totally depressing - "Pasha & Sasha" got so much negative press it was disgusting. I still don't understand why only Oksana got so much negative press for the affair, when there have surely been other similar stories and affairs in the skating world, and nobody else was treated this way because of it .
I didn't really like Usova& Platov - their programs may have been pretty, but a little bit uninteresting an empty for me. (And of course I didn't like Usova - I thought she was completely fake... )
I thought the whole thing was depressing because it was just about taking revenge, and that's not a very pretty or noble motivation. (Of course I can't know because I wasn't there, maybe she deserved some of it, but then instead of a slap in the face (not literally of course) she was like run over by a bulldozer a couple of times... not pretty)
Do I understand it correctly that there will be a competition between the 3 top couples from the RTR and ORT shows? Is this going to happen, or just a plan?
Also, there was some news that the RTR show participants were invited to do the same show in the UK - does anyone know anything about this?

and I don't understand why press remembered about it 6 years later if Zhulin was already in love with Navka, and Usova gave up Zhulina as a partner herself and destroied Oksana's career. But in press Usova and Platov are angels and victums while Oksana is a "bad" girl. I hate this position. |

I am hungarian girl and I love very much G&P !!!
My favorite programm is Rock and Roll ! I think, that is fantastic ! That was the first program I saw from them ! Before it I did not watch figure skating, but it changed when I watched them first time in World of 1994 in free dance !
Since them I am looking for everything, connecting them ! Ice dance is G&P for me !
I am verry happy they are skating together again ! Unfortunatelly I do not understand russian language, so I am not sure they will stay together in the future, or they reunited only some performance ! Somebody knows it ???

Oksanka i Zhenka are skating together on a part-time bases, so to speak, at least for now. We, their fans, expect them to continue skating together permenantly, and not only to skate but to coach, choreograph, etc.
They both said, they were very happy to be together after eight years of separation. We expect to see them skate at Tatiana Tarassova's Birthday show in Moskow, February 13th,at 7:00 PM.

I am just wondering who is going to be the main coach to our "new" ice dance couple, G&P...
I, by the way, have a suggestion..... I personelly would love to see Zhenka, coaching not only his ice dance teams of Kerrs and Zars, but his own team of Oxanka and himself as well.
Oxanka will help with choreography, costumes, make up, for the ladies, cooking, making coffee and so on...we ladies can do sooooo many good things... no doubt here...

Well, I think They wouldn't have a special coach for their pair - I think they can make their programmes themselves. I don't think, that G&P will take part in many ice-shows, that's why sometimes they can make everything without coach.

This should belong in the photo thread, but I don't want to spoil Russian threads with English messages.
Anyways, once waaaaaay back there was a fan page for Oksana that has a photo of newborn Skyler and father, I wonder if anyone happens to have this picture and could post it?
Does anyone know if they will skate in the Tarasova show? As far as I understand they have not been invited yet, or are they? It would be sooooooooooo great to see them skating in a normal size rink in a "serious" show.
I'm just hoping it happens!!!

I found the site through Passion's link on Albena Denkova&Maxim Staviski fan forum. I AM DELIGHTED TO BE HERE AND MEET YOU!!! Oksana and Evgeni are my absolute masters, of my childhood and present and the only skaters that made me stop breathing whan I watched them and world around me didn't exist for this moments :)! I love them since I saw them at Lillehamer Olympics, that was the first time I watched figure skating on TV, so I can say that was love at the fist sight :). I'm sooo happy to see so many people still love their skating. I was in seventh heaven when I saw them skate together after 8 years!! Do you have any current news on their partnership? Do they still skate together in shows? And what was the real reason for their split in 1998? I read so many different versions...
What else to say, I love their Libertango, Feeling Begins (standars)and Memorial as well, I find all these routines masterpieces, not to be copmared to any others. I liked all teir exhibition programes, especially Adagio, I will always love you and You'll see.
Unfortunately I don't speak Russian, although I can read it (slowly, because of the alphabet) and understand a bit if the words are similar to my native Polish language.
Once again, nice to meet you all and let's hope G&P will continue skating as we all wish.

Hello, it's me again. Accidentally I found a link to New Year Gala show (on Polish skating forum - miracles happen! ). Oksana and Evgeni were great again, they slightly changed some moves and somethong like half of the programme was invisible because of those girls in "swimming suits" - well at least they could sing well. I'm so glad to see them on good terms with each other. By the way, where does Oksana live now? In Russia or in the US ? Is she married? And is it true that Evgeni is divorced? When did he get married? |

oh, and one more thing came up to my mind - They both were born in Odessa, now it's in Ukraine. Does it mean that O&E are Ukrainians skating for Russia or Russians whose families lived in that city? I know that in Ukraine there is a huge Russian minority.
And one more thing, I'm thrilled about Euro 2012 will be held in Poland and Ukraine, not because of the football itself, but for the great chance of development and investments- hotels, motorways and so on, anyway if you are interested in football or want to visit - you're always welcome!!

Privet!!! I'm back from St. Petersburg, Tsarskie Sielo and Peterhof, these are truly amazing places and people are so nice and helpful!! And as it is June, there were white nights, I wish this phenomenon occured in Poland as well. I've also vistited Antons restaurant and even talked to the other manager for a while, but Anton wasn't there. Hi!! I loved the city!! And I didn't have enough time to see as much as I would like and definitely it was to fast. It was a guided tour, so we were running around the city. The places that I visited were: Day 1: Pietropavlovskaya Island and the orthodox church on it, Ermitage!! ( I loved impresionists paintings collection most), Nevski Prospekt ( Anton's restaurant!! - I traveled there by bus because Nevski is sooo long). Day 2: Smolny Institut, Spas na Kravi, Pushkin's monument, Kazanski Sobor - that was realy an example to follow how orthodox people carefuly make the cross sign and pray , then boat trip through channels and Neva river, Isakovki Sobor, Kirov's Theater, 2 monuments of Tsar Peter I, Peter I house and Aurora ship. As we lived in Riepino we spent some time on the beach at night. Day 3: Peterhof and Pushkin (Tsarskie Sielo). I wish I come back to see all the places on my own, visit museums ( except Kunst Kamera ) and just wander. Lucky you to live in such a beautiful place!! |

Thank you!!! I love my city very much!! I wish you have one more visit in our city and you have more free time just to walk here, to feel atmosphere. I don't know how to explain it, but as for me it's main thing that differs Saint-Petersburg from other places in the world

PLEASE help me with the translation! It's T.Tarasova and A. Mishin comentary. I understood the begining and that Evgeni spends 4,5,6 hours on ice every day in New Jersey. Did Tarasova say that Oksana has unique hands movements? ( By the way, Oksana is even more elegant than she used to be during their competitive career and I looooove her hand moves, also she looks much better with straight long hair).There was something said about their skating technique, but I didn't get it. Could you please help me with it? It was such an opportunity in "Two capitals show" (I live in Moscow), but it was announced they would be in St. Petersburg, so I didn't come to Red Square in Moscow  Marta пишет: She says they have many offers to participate in different ice shows, but Zhenya is very busy with his coach work. I saw only Oksana at "Dancing on ice II" several times. Unfortunatly Evgeny didn't participate at the second gala, and I also missed Red square gala because of bad announsment |

Lagrima, tamriko ! Thank you so much for translation!! I'm so sorry for you missing Two Capitals Show!!! In my opinion this dance is fantastic, so beautifuly gentle. One of their best. But you're lucky anyway, beacuse it's possible that they will perform in Moscow again and you can see it live. And probability that Oksana and Evgeni come to my country equals zero . tamriko - how does it feel to see Oksana live? |

Well, I haven't talk to her, but her scating is just great. She has a nice smile and she's realy enjoying public's love. Most of the shows she was with her daughter - they look very happy together. |

I'm glad to "hear" that. Is the third season going to start in Russia?
We also have the show, it's called "Gwiazdy tańczą na lodzie" , but there is one huge difference to the Russian version. In our version stars are stars and skaters are skaters, and in your version stars are actors, musicians and so on, but the true stars are skaters -World, European and Olympic champions:). When I watched your version on youtube, I didn't know any of the "stars" but I knew all skaters :).

Yes, probably in september. Well we also watch our show mostly for skaters. Actually there are no chances to see some of them skating exept this show. |

You probably don't have the DivX video codec on your computer. go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow, download the ffdshow codec pack and install - this has just about all video codecs you'll ever need, but during the installation you can chose to install only the DivX codec if you want (you can also go to divx.com, but then you must download their player too so i prefer ffdshow) Hope that helps :) A question for the Russian girls: I'll try to watch the Dancing on Ice show from last night on corbina.tv, but can you tell me about what time Oksana skated (beginning/middle/end of the show? I want to see just Oksana and corbina stops working for me when i try to scroll in the video too much so that would be huge help if you could tell me about when she skated. Spasibo! |

Hi everyone. I just discovered this board and it's fantastic!! Thank you to who created this site! I loved seeing all the photos of Oksana and Evgeny! I'm a huge fan of both Oksana and Evgeny. I don't speak Russian very well, but I'm learning it now and hopefully will speak it much better soon. I'm not sure if anyone reads this much anymore because I noticed there are not that many new posts on the Oksana board. I was wondering if anyone has the Dancing on Ice show seasons 2 & 3? I didn't get to see the show because I don't have Russian TV and want to see it so bad! If anyone could help, I'd really, really appreciate it!! I have lots of Oksana and Evgeny skating, interviews and more that I'd be happy to share with people. I also have DVD's of compilations of all of the programs and skating shows they did.
