Hi everyone!

I think I'll be a little bit lonely here, but I'll try to write something anyway
I totally loved G/P back in the day and couldn't keep myself from following the "drama" ever since. It was great to see them again and especially Oksana since no one has seen her skating for so long - I was really wondering if she still had "it", and thank god she does.

From G/P dances I loved Libertango and the Feeling Begins and I absolutely hated Memorial. Actually, I hated watching them the whole 97-98 season, cause you could just feel a collapse was coming... (I thought doing a program called "Memorial Requiem" is kind of a bad omen anyway - like doing a death mass for yourself - and kind of symbolic of what was actually happening)

Anyways, I don't plan to be talking to myself too much, I guess I'll just have to learn Russian:)
(I kind of started it already, since I had to try to understand what they were saying in the show and I already recognize many words!)

Thanks to whoever created this board - I think it's great that G/P were "discovered" (again) by many people as a result of the RTR show IMO they are generally a little bit underappreciated and forgotten (maybe not in Russia, but elsewhere for sure).

Ok, that's it for now, maybe someone joins me in this forum now that the ice has been broken - or else I'll just join you in a few months or so when I'm able to write a sensible sentence in Russian.

I agree with you about a collapse. But this sence made their latest programmes so passion, emotianal and unforgettable. GP knew or felt that it was their end that's why they created masterpieses and in my opinion no ice dance-pair can do the same.

This site was linked on the unofficial Russian "Dance on Ice" forum, that's how I found it.

I didn't literally watch the World Pros since I don't have US tv - I just saw the articles and of course the videos later.
I thought the whole thing was totally depressing - "Pasha & Sasha" got so much negative press it was disgusting. I still don't understand why only Oksana got so much negative press for the affair, when there have surely been other similar stories and affairs in the skating world, and nobody else was treated this way because of it .
I didn't really like Usova& Platov - their programs may have been pretty, but a little bit uninteresting an empty for me. (And of course I didn't like Usova - I thought she was completely fake... )
I thought the whole thing was depressing because it was just about taking revenge, and that's not a very pretty or noble motivation. (Of course I can't know because I wasn't there, maybe she deserved some of it, but then instead of a slap in the face (not literally of course) she was like run over by a bulldozer a couple of times... not pretty)

Do I understand it correctly that there will be a competition between the 3 top couples from the RTR and ORT shows? Is this going to happen, or just a plan?
Also, there was some news that the RTR show participants were invited to do the same show in the UK - does anyone know anything about this?

you are wrong. there will be a competition between the 3 top couples from simple dances without ice from the RTR

and I don't understand why press remembered about it 6 years later if Zhulin was already in love with Navka, and Usova gave up Zhulina as a partner herself and destroied Oksana's career. But in press Usova and Platov are angels and victums while Oksana is a "bad" girl. I hate this position.

Have you seen all programs "Dance on Ice" on Russian TV or just GriPla's presentation? I mean the couple of Oksana & her unprofessional partner Peter Krasilov.

I guess, it's just a rumor. But Oksana&Evgeny will be skating together at New Year Night Show on RTR

I am hungarian girl and I love very much G&P !!!
My favorite programm is Rock and Roll ! I think, that is fantastic ! That was the first program I saw from them ! Before it I did not watch figure skating, but it changed when I watched them first time in World of 1994 in free dance !
Since them I am looking for everything, connecting them ! Ice dance is G&P for me !

I am verry happy they are skating together again ! Unfortunatelly I do not understand russian language, so I am not sure they will stay together in the future, or they reunited only some performance ! Somebody knows it ???

Hi Maria,

Oksanka i Zhenka are skating together on a part-time bases, so to speak, at least for now. We, their fans, expect them to continue skating together permenantly, and not only to skate but to coach, choreograph, etc.

They both said, they were very happy to be together after eight years of separation. We expect to see them skate at Tatiana Tarassova's Birthday show in Moskow, February 13th,at 7:00 PM.

Me too! I began to watch FS after I've seen GP But it was 1996!
